Fertilizing Greens in January

Our staff has been out enjoying the nice weather during the month of January.  We have begun accomplishing many projects that will improve playing conditions in 2012.  We have worked in many of the waste bunkers improving drainage, removing dead trees, and yesterday we had the opportunity to apply a late season fertilizer application.  This application of ammonium sulfate will help with root growth, plant health, and a quicker green up in the spring time.  We applied the same product to our fairways and tees the first week of December.
